Group booking
article by: SJO
How about organising a group to travel on one of our trains? You
may have a special anniversary in the near future or you may wish
to plan a surprise party for a friend or relative. Or you may be
part of an association which organises special days out.
Whatever the reason, a day spent with
the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway is always a great
experience and if you can make up a party of 10 or more fare paying
passengers, you will get a 10% discount off your total cost. If the
numbers exceed 20, this discount increases to 15% giving you even
greater savings all round. If you have a coach driver, or your
numbers are large enough for you to have a professional courier,
they will both travel free. In addition, wherever possible your
seats will be reserved for you once your booking has been made.
As part of your day's visit to the railway, we can also provide
refreshments either at the tea room situated at Winchcombe Station,
or if you prefer, on the train itself while you are watching the
countryside pass by. Why not book a delicious cream tea to enjoy
during your journey?
To make a group booking, please complete a booking form ideally
at least 3 weeks in advance of your proposed visit. The form can be
downloaded from the link below or obtained from any of our stations
or sent to you by post. Even easier, you are welcome to e-mail us
at grouptravel@gwsr.com with
your enquiry and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Group bookings are available for all days
other than on special event dates coloured gold in our
2012 timetable. For enquiries about
visits on such dates, please email grouptravel@gwsr.com.
Group rates are not available for evening
events or lunchtime fish and chips specials.

If you are bringing a group of children or vulnerable
adults to the Railway, you may wish to conduct a
risk assessment prior to your visit. For your convenience, we have
prepare a standard risk assessment form which will help you with
this process. To download it, click here.
