To give you a foretaste of what's in store for GWR175 between 29 May and 6 June, here is the expected shape of the locomotive diagram for each day.  There is plenty for everyone and the timetables will be published to match this diagram nearer the date.

Please take this as a guide only at this stage.  You can find out about the locomotives here.  There are still a couple of gaps and we hope to be able to confirm one more named locomotive shortly.

So what are you waiting for?  You can buy discounted tickets online here and if you are a reader of Railway Magazine, our media partner, you can apply for tickets with even bigger discounts by filling in an application form from their current issue and sending it to the railway.

More and more is arriving at Toddington - a very pretty shunters' truck has been delivered while prototype Gas Turbine locomotive no. 18000 is also on site in its distinctive green livery and cast numerals.  You can see a picture of it here.

Meanwhile, the 'paint job' on City of Truro is progressing well as you can see from the pictures.  Inside the David Page shed at Toddington a 'tent' has been erected to reduce the risk of dust spoiling the superb finish before it has dried.  Also 8F class 2-8-0 no 8274, which will be presented as the no. 8431 (one of the 80 Swindon-built examples) is also very close to the end of its overhaul and is expected to be steamed for the first time as a complete locomotive before the end of April.
